How does US education do compared to other countries?
The websites linked below contains a trove of data about progress on the Sustainable Development Goals. Would be great to show students that progress is made on these complex global issues, but also the complexity behind headlines. Students could use this database for research into a particular problem they are trying to address at a glocal level.

- Earthducation: Their mission is to show students and teachers the importance of education and sustainability for the future of our planet. The creators of the site traveled all 7 continents to explore the concepts of both education and sustainability.
- Global Nomads Group: Their mission is to, by leveraging technology, encourage dialogue between students around the world on challenging issues. There are lessons and resources for teachers in many content areas including project based learning for environmental learning about overfishing around the world, the education of girls around the world, and gun violence around the world.
EPals: Connect your students to other students around the world
- iEarn - Similar to ePals in shared communication platform but added benefit of iEarn is that you can find projects for students to work on with other students in different countries.
- World Savvy - Time is always an issue when planning new lessons, World Savvy has a Teacher Tool-kit with pre planned lessons, questions for students, and discussion topics such as "Population and Progress." Time saver, quality materials, and easy to adapt for all students.
- UN Cyber School Bus - "Whether you are a student preparing for a Model UN conference or working on a research project, or a teacher preparing a lesson on hunger or looking for an activity on landmines, the Cyberschoolbus is likely to have something for you." I'm very excited to use this site and explore their research projects.

Contemporary Issues is a class of my own design that was expanded this year from a semester long to a full year class.
